Superblog review summary

Superblog is a blogging platform that provides a fast and easy-to-use alternative to WordPress and Medium.

You can even create a blog in just 5 minutes.

That’s how easy to use the platform is.

Some notable companies like Llama Life are already using this platform. So I must say, there’s something interesting about Superblog.

One of the features I appreciate is its strong SEO capabilities. Although there are some drawbacks, like its high price which is not suited for individual creators.

Overall, Superblog has many positive aspects, making it worth considering for bloggers who want a fast, reliable, and secure platform.

Strong Points

Now, I will explain why Superblog is a great blogging platform for creators.

Easy to Use

Superblog offers a solution tocommon problems users encounter when using WordPress.

The major one is that Superblog is super easy to use.

It is incredibly simple to set up.

And unlike WordPress, you don't need to install anything or write code to create a blog.

Instead, you can create a new blog by pressing just a few buttons, entering your the name, a short description, and you're good to go!

It eliminates the need to look for hosting and installation, which can be time-consuming and frustrating on WordPress.

Superblog also makes importing content from other platforms easy to import with their data importing page.

However, some users may prefer if they supported importing JSON files, which is a common file format when migrating from one tool to another.

Creating content on Superblog is also very simple. The editor is clean and has all the features you'd expect, such as embedding videos and Tweets.

You can also write custom HTML for more unique content.

One feature I appreciate is the built-in table of contents.

However, one area where Superblog could improve is by adding buttons to the editor.

Like other blogging tools, Superblog includes categories and tags to help organize content on your site.

SEO

One crucial aspect of having a blog is ensuring people can find it when searching on Google. It is where good SEO comes into play, and Superblog does a very good job in this area.

By default, all blogs on Superblog are well-optimized, which is a big advantage for users who don't have experience or don't want to spend time on optimization.

Superblog takes care of the essentials when creating a post. There's a handy checklist with basic SEO recommendations that are easy to follow.

And for more advanced users, Superblog allows customization, like changing the canonical URLs.

There are only a few SEO-related things missing on Superblog at this moment, but they're not super essential for SEO success.

Despite this, the platform does a great job covering the basics, making it an excellent option for bloggers who want a simple and effective solution for their SEO needs.

Speed

Website speed is a critical factor in both user experience and ranking well on Google.

However, making a website fast is easier said than done…

Fortunately, Superblog makes it effortless by using a type of technology faster than most other blogging tools.

I’m referring to JAMstack. It’s technical thing that’s not worth the type explain. You just need to know that this technology allows Superblog to build the site beforehand and save the pages on servers across the world.

As a result, when users request the site, don’t need need to wait for it to load.

Because of this, Superblog is ridiculously fast, and you can expect almost perfect scores on website speed tools.

Superblog is an excellent option for bloggers who prioritize speed and want to provide their users with a fast and seamless experience.

Security

On top of everything I just said, Superblog is also super secure.

While any online tool is at risk of being hacked, Superblog's use of JAMstack technology means the attack surface area is much smaller than other tools like WordPress.

To put things into plain language: imagine the attack surface area on WordPress is the size of the Atlantic Ocean. And on Superblog, that area is around the size of Lake Superior.

As a result, this makes it much safer, as there are no plugins that can get hacked and other common vulnerabilities. So, you can rest assured that your site is secure with Superblog.

Other positive aspects

I want to highlight some of the small but useful features of Superblog.

Firstly, they have a simple way for you to collect email addresses using forms and pop-ups. You don't need to know how to code to set this up.

Another handy feature is the "scribble page," where you can jot down ideas for future blog posts.

Customizing your homepage is also effortless with Superblog, allowing you to choose between a feed of your latest posts or a static page.

And lastly, I appreciate the ability to easily translate website content. This feature can be more complicated on other blogging tools, so it's great that Superblog makes it easy.

Weak points

As smooth sailing as it seems, Superblog also has its weak points. So let’s get into details about it.

Monetization

While Superblog has many great features, it's important to consider the limitations when it comes to monetization options.

Currently, Superblog allows you to display Google Ads on your site, which is a positive.

However, due to the JAMstack technology used by Superblog, it's unlikely that they will be able to offer paid memberships anytime soon.

So, if your goal is to charge for access to your content, you may want to consider another blogging tool.

No customization

Another weakness of Superblog is its lack of customization.

In fact, at the moment, you can't use a different theme on SuperBlog. You only have one layout to work with.

Even the option to switch between a feed or a static homepage isn't really a different theme. It would be nice if they offered more themes in the future since most other blogging tools have at least a few theme options to choose from.

Price

In my opinion, the biggest issue with SuperBlog is its pricing.

Let me explain with an example. Imagine someone wanting to buy a Rolex watch. People who don’t have the money for the Rolex will say it's not a good idea to get one. But those who can afford it and want a luxury item will think differently.

That's how I currently feel about SuperBlog's pricing.

The problem is that individuals who need a tool like SuperBlog the most won't be able to afford it. So, their prices are more suited for businesses rather than individual creators.

Final Thoughts

I believe that Superblog has a lot of potential and is a good tool overall. Although there is still room for improvement.

It's not the cheapest option available, but if you can afford it and appreciate its features, it may be the right choice for you.

Superblog delivers on its promises of being user-friendly, lightning-fast, and search engine optimized.

However, there are some limitations, such as the lack of customization and monetization options.

In my opinion, Superblog is a good tool but is slightly overpriced.
